Churpay may only be used for lawful church giving, church administration, member and guest engagement, event payments, check-ins, pastoral care, communications, volunteer coordination, finance reporting, subscriptions, receipts, reconciliation, and related ministry operations.
Churches, administrators, staff, members, and guests must not use Churpay for:
- Illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or unauthorized activity.
- Personal cash-out, stored-value wallets, money remittance, payday lending, investment schemes, or unapproved financial services.
- Gambling, adult services, weapons, controlled substances, counterfeit goods, sanctions-related activity, or any other activity prohibited by payment providers.
- Deceptive fundraising, misleading fund names, unauthorized campaigns, or collecting money for purposes not approved by the church.
- Harassment, hate, abuse, spam, phishing, impersonation, or unauthorized messaging.
- Uploading false, stolen, harmful, or unlawful documents, images, payment records, member records, child records, or job-application materials.
- Accessing, exporting, or sharing member, child, prayer, care, finance, or payment information without authorization.
- Attempting to bypass authentication, role permissions, payment-provider controls, rate limits, security controls, audit trails, or app-store platform rules.
- Interfering with Churpay systems, reverse engineering, scraping, automated abuse, malware, or denial-of-service activity.
Churches are responsible for ensuring that funds, events, giving links, broadcasts, pastoral-care workflows, check-ins, children check-ins, volunteer terms, and finance records are accurate, authorized, and connected to legitimate church operations.
Churpay may reject onboarding, suspend access, pause payment setup, disable features, remove content, request supporting documents, notify payment providers, or close accounts where activity appears unlawful, unauthorized, fraudulent, high risk, harmful, or inconsistent with this policy.
